Laura graduated from the AHT program at NAIT in 2001. From there, she started her professional career working in general practice. She spent a number of years in emergency practice and then moved into specialty practice. Although she loved all the interesting cases seen in both emergency and specialty practice, she moved back into general practice after her daughter was born, finding it a better fit for family life.

Though she spends most of her time in the office, Laura enjoys getting to know her patients well, and seeing them grow through all their life stages.  Her favourite part of caring for animals is seeing them turn a corner and begin to recover after a serious trauma or illness - It’s so rewarding to watch them improve and be able to reunited them with their families. 

Laura lives in Sherwood Park with her husband, who is a veterinarian, their young son and daughter, and their rescued mutts Koko and Sprocket.
